Before You Buy: What Every TSO Fan Should Know About Tickets in 2026
Paul O’Neill saw the music industry changing long before most people did.
Today, consolidation, inflation, bots, AI, resale technology, and all-in-pricing laws have made buying a concert ticket more confusing than ever, to the point where the band for the first time feel the need to try to give a spark of guidance, even if it only helps two people.
So, to the two people still here, here’s what you need to know:
🎸 NEW ALL-IN PRICING LAWS: Fees charged by buildings and other parties, not TSO, are now included in the first price displayed, whereas it used to be shown separately from ticket prices. The new law was meant to protect fans, but it actually incentivized raising fees, as it is no longer clear who the source of the cost is.
🎸 FAN-CLUB PRESALE: This is reserved for our first rows, and now shows “all-in” pricing. We fought extremely hard to keep pricing close to previous years and have tried many different technologies to keep it accessible, but the bots are often smarter than the tech. When we have tried lowering it further and taking a loss for our “repeat offenders”, we learned bots would grab those seats instantly, bringing down our sites, and resell them for as much as six times the price, making it more expensive for those same fans. We have moved these margins to make available more lower priced tickets.
🎸 GENERAL SALE: We increased the number of good seats available at our lowest margins ever, for our biggest production on record yet, for the general sale. Keep checking the official ticketing page as more seats and prices are released and adjusted.
🎸 EVENING SHOWS: We intentionally lowered many evening-show prices as that’s when our signing lines happen. We never want price to keep you from meeting the band. If you're looking to bring a large group, look at evening (we are happy to write an excused absence letter for your child’s school).
🎸 INFLATION: Fuel costs are roughly four times higher, labor has increased even more sharply, and some arena rents have nearly doubled. We are fighting to absorb as much of that increase as possible instead of passing it on to fans, as it has been our tradition to always cut costs during economically hard time; we know you all are feeling this in your own personal lives. We’re fighting as many contracts as possible to try to bring down prices while also pouring even more money into production than last year, and it is our most aggressive pricing fight ever taken.
🚨 Resale sites will also advertise tickets they do not even possess yet.
